ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Please have your transcript translated by a current NACES approved evaluation service:

• The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (www.aacrao.org/international/ )
• World Education Services (www.wes.org/students/index.asp ).
• International Credential Evaluations (https://www.incredevals.org/)
• Any international applicant can complete an InCred eval in place of WES or AACRAO, but InCred is required for international athletes who need a transcript evaluation.
• Ave Maria University reserves the right to request an official copy of the following scores to show proficiency in the English language: 80 on the TOEFL or 6.5 on the IELTS.
• You must submit documented proof of financial support or 3 months of consecutive bank statements before a Form I-20 will be issued. Please consult with your admissions counselor with any questions you may have about the International Student Admissions Process.
• Application deadline for Fall Semester is July 1.  Application deadline for Spring Semester is November 1.
• It is your responsibility to have your transcript(s) evaluated prior to receiving an admission decision. If your secondary school transcripts are in a language other than English, a certified English translation must accompany the original document(s).

Applicants are considered to be transfer applicants if they have enrolled at another regionally accredited college or university following graduation from high school. Transfer applicants must meet the following standards:

• Carry a cumulative unweighted college GPA of at least a 2.9 on a 4.0 scale in college-level courses taken at all institutions attended
• Have completed 24 transferable credit hours. Those who have completed fewer than 24 credit hours must meet all freshman admission requirements as well as transfer admission requirements.
