THE CANIZARO LIBRARY

The mission of the Canizaro Library is to provide easy access to all the resources required to support the academic programs of the University, in an environment that promotes student learning success as well as user satisfaction. It is our goal to use state-of-the-art technology, processes and practices, supported by a highly-trained and motivated staff, in order to provide exceptional Library service to the Ave Maria University community.

The Canizaro Library is more than just a collection of books. It’s your campus destination for tutoring, research help, reserving a quiet study space or tracking down scarce literary resources. Our library staff are here to help you with anything you need, and all you have to do is make a request.

Canizaro Library is blessed to house a large collection of extremely rare and hard-to-find manuscript documents, fine bindings, archives, and artwork. While you can explore AMU’s Rare Books collection on the website, we encourage you to get a better view and see them in-person!

Library reference services are available in person at the circulation desk and by appointment. For quick assistance, the library also has “Ask a Librarian,” Florida’s Virtual Reference Service, available online 24/7.

Our online search tools make it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for from our literary collections. We have a number of library catalogs and databases containing printed volumes, manuscripts, magazines, online journals and more — all free to explore.
